Vienna University of Technology TU Vienna, Institute of Computer technology |
The Vienna University of Technology (TU Vienna) is among the most successful technical universities in Europe, and is Austria’s largest scientific-technical research and educational institution with more than 17000 students and almost 4000 staff members studying and working in 8 faculties.
The Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the TU Vienna. The institute hosts three chairs with focus on software and systems engineering, embedded systems, and intelligent automation. The ICT employs approx. 75 scientists in the above mentioned areas.
The Chair of Embedded Systems, led by Univ.Prof. Christoph Grimm, concentrates its activities on design and design methodology of analog/mixed signal systems. Design activities focus on innovative architectures for ultra-low power wireless sensor networks. The activities that focus development of design technology for analog/mixed-signal systems include methods and tools for modeling, simulation, power analysis, and verification. The group is actively contributing to the development and dissemination of the OSCI SystemC AMS extensions, an extension library for the modeling language SystemC that enables design of complex mixed HW/SW/Analog systems.
