Veljko Malbasa, Ph.D., is a Professor of Electronics and Director of the Department of Power, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. His research record includes over 70 conference and journal research papers and management and coordination of a dozen national and international research projects. He spent seven years as a Visiting Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Washington State University, Pullman, USA, and two semesters at the Institute of Computer Technology, Vienna University of Technology, Austria. Prof. Malbasa has been the director of Department of Power, Electronics and Telecommunications  since 2001.
